About Me
What can I say about me? I’m a law student for one more year. I’ll be done in May of 2012. I am in my second full season of being a triathlete and am on the 2011 Team Trakkers! I was a football and baseball player for the majority of my life, but let myself get ridiculously out of shape since graduating college. After my first year of law school, I realized I was on the fast track to diabetes, heart disease, and any number of other issues, so I decided to turn that around. I am passionate about living healthy (not just physically, but holistically – mind, body, and spirit). I became an ironman on September 25, 2010, and am absolutely addicted to triathlons and love the people I meet through my racing.
I hope those of you who read this enjoy my thoughts and struggles as I continue to figure out this beautiful mess called life!

Mike,
hey man, just wanted to drop a quick note. I saw a twitter post of yours re doing law school and an Ironman (mentioning your process of determining which is more difficult). I have done both (ASU 2000 grad and IMAZ 2009 Finisher). Both are very cool and I look forward to following your journey.

Hi Mike! I love your blog. We seem to have a lot of similarities in our outlook on life. I need some motivation getting over my fear of swimming. I’d love to do a sprint triathlon this year. I wonder if you know James Cotter – professional triathlete living in Austin. I’m good friends with his wife, Lindsay…
Hope to see you again soon!
